1. A Night in Tunisia is a jazz album by Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, released by the RCA Victor subsidiary label Vik. It features the only recorded instances of saxophonists Jackie McLean and Johnny Griffin playing together. The album's original five tracks were augmented by up to three alternative takes on CD reissues.

4. Sticking the CDs into iTunes, CD 1 is given the album title "At the Royal Roost , At Birdland ,," and can be found on Allmusic. CD2 came up with album title of "Vintage Vinyl Collection". Searching Allmusic I found a 2CD set called "Vintage Vinyl Collection" with an identical track listing to both the CDs here/5(3).

5. Gillespie recorded the composition with his big band, but this version features Miles Davis on muted trumpet stating the theme and soloing in Parker's Sexptet. Parker takes one of the most acclaimed and astonishing alto saxophone breaks in history just past the minute mark, and Davis solos after him; then Lucky Thompson on tenor sax.

9. In during his "off period," Miles Davis sat in with tenor-saxophonist Jimmy Forrest's quintet at a club in his hometown of St. Louis. Because the recording quality is not the best and Davis recorded many more significant sessions through the years, this CD only gets an "OK" rating, but collectors may want to acquire it anyway. Included are performances of bop standards including Dizzy.
