4. I'd hate to rank the STAR WARS film scores, but I think that this is an outstanding contribution to the music of the Trilogy. Of course, figuring prominently thorughout is the "Imperial March" - which I feel should have been introduced in the first film - dark and sinister, yet as instantly recognisable as the Phantom of the Opera's theme in the famous Broadway musical.3/5(6).

5. (Which, by the way, you should try to find on the 4 CD box by Arista Records from Star Wars Trilogy - The Original Soundtrack Anthology!!! It may not contain every single bit and piece of score that is included on the three Special Edition 2 CD sets, but the sound is far superior, including more bass and less noise, and the ugly 4/5(1).
